The IPD CAD Lab (Laboratory for Integrated Product Development and CAD) represents a solid foundation in the field of computer-aided design and comprehensive product development. We are an integrated laboratory where we combine research, education, modern laboratory equipment, and cooperation with industry, creating a synergy for the future. Our logo symbolizes this interconnectedness, as it consists of three surfaces. Three arrows outside the frame represent our tripartite activity: we are simultaneously a proud part of the University of Maribor and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. The IPD CAD Lab is a bridge connecting these important institutions into a shared vision and innovative development.

In the Laboratory for Integrated Product Development and CAD, we offer comprehensive services to companies in the field of product development and design: such as, for example, product conception and development, computer-aided design (CAD), improvements based on advanced simulation techniques, rapid prototyping and 3D printing in the development process.

Our laboratory conducts state-of-the-art research in integrated product development and CAD, focused on developing new methodologies and techniques to improve design efficiency, quality and sustainability in new product development.

IPD CAD LAB is equipped with modern engineering equipment that supports the entire product development process. Advanced 3D printing and 3D scanning technologies enable rapid prototyping, the production of functional test parts, and precise geometry capture, providing significant support for product development, industrial design, and collaboration with industry.
