The Laboratory for Integrated Product Development and CAD is a laboratory within the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Maribor. It brings together the principles of integrated product development and computer-aided design (CAD) and experts from different fields to optimize the product development cycle, to reduce costs and increase the functionality, performance and safety of products. We work with many other academic and industrial partners to push the boundaries of integrated product development and CAD.

We use the latest software in product development, engineering, design, simulation and testing, and our capabilities also include advanced hardware and resources to support the product development process, including 3D scanners and 3D printers, which enable more effective visualization, analysis of different variant solutions and continuous improvement.

Working with students as part of the pedagogical process is crucial in developing their skills to prepare them for a successful career in hard work. We provide students with hands-on experience using software, advanced hardware, and other resources in the lab. We encourage them to take an experimental approach, creativity and innovation in solving challenges related to the contents of laboratory operations.
